The Play Date Cafe Challenge #91

Good morning!  Today we finally have a little break from the  heat wave we had last week and I decided to play along with the challenge at The Play Date Cafe. It's color splash week which means the challenge is to make a black and white card with a splash of color.

For this card I used the mini {ippity}  stamp set {...thankful for you} and coral was my splash of color.  One of the tips from the online card class I took this summer was to repeat images. So I stamped the butterfly twice and the sentiment once  and cut them out using the same circle die.  To mat the stamped images I used the woven circle Memory Box die with coral polka dot paper.  To coordinate with the woven circle, I used a scalloped border die for the edge of the card.   Black embossed paper  was used for the card base.

Thanks so much for looking and have a great day!

Susan

Supplies:

Ink:  Palette ink - noir

Susan, this card looks awesome in black and white and the splash of color! I almost bought that Fiskars border punch on Saturday...bought another one instead 'cause I couldn't decide...now I need this one too! *smile* Great inspiration!

Wow! I really like this. You've perfectly echoed the circles of the main focal point with the dotted background. THanks for playing with us at The PLay Date CAfe!

I absolutely adore that you used mainly black on your card, it makes that pop of color so much more dramatic! Thank you so much for joining in on the color splash at The Play Date Cafe.
