Ippity Stamps Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to {ippity} hop Monday. Today's card uses one of the new small stamp kits, You deserve...

I love this little stamp kit!  Maybe it's how the dogwood flowers  are outlined with dots  or how the sentiment and corner stamp stand out with the houndstooth pattern, but I love the design of this small stamp set!  The houndstooth background on this card is actually a background stamp form CHF that was stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The flowers were also stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with copic markers.   I also used the background stamp from Quotes a'la Happy to accentuate the sentiment.  Here are pictures of the actual stamp sets that are available HERE.

Unity Stamps FWF Blog Hop

Good morning!   Today's card uses the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety stamp set.  I love the little chicks in this set, especially the mother chick with the kerchief on her head.  She reminds me of my Polish grandmother with the kerchief !

I used the Bit of Burlap stamp from {ippity}
for the background of the chicks.   I love how the chick stamp fits perfectly with a scalloped punch.  The paper is from the Garden Variety collection from Cosmo Cricket. Some ribbon, pins, alphabet stickers  and a doily finished off the card.

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop

Good Morning Ippity friends!  I finally had  a chance to play with the new stamps from the summer release and I love the new Halloween set,  That's Creepy.  For today's card I used the witch hat from this set.

Isn't this hat a great stamp?  It's large enough to be used as the focal point for this card.  I stamped the hat and then embossed it with holographic embossing powder to give it a little sparkle.  All the pattern paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Matilda paper collection.  A few bats, some rhinestones and some sparkly ribbon and paper finished off the card. The dot background stamp is from the Love in Return stamp set.
Both stamp sets used on this card are pictured below.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge

I loved the pretty blues and green used for this weeks challenge at the Play Date Cafe and decided to play along to see what I could come up with.  The challenge is to create a card using the colors found in this photo:

Using this color scheme, I created this pumpkin card. I know blue and green are not fall colors, but I had this idea for an card and decided to go with it using  blues and greens.

I  began this card by embossing the background using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Using a text stamp I stamped over the embossed images with green ink so the images would stand out.  I like how the text is printed only on the raised areas and not the entire background.  I then paper pieced the pumpkin using Basic Grey paper.  A little ribbon, some pumpkin tendrils and a sentiment finished off the card.

Thanks so much for taking the time to take a look and have a wonderful day!

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to {ippity} hop Monday.
My card today uses one of my favorite stamp sets, Because of You.

I used the so in love  stamp from this set.  I wanted a circle sentiment for this card and this stamp was perfect.  The pretty papers  used  on this card are from the Queen Bee collection by Pink Paislee.  I love the papers in this collection and may have to buy another pack as a backup!  I also used a Tim Holtz On The Edge die.  I wasn't sure how I would like these dies, but they are easier to use than I thought they would be.  Instead of ribbon, I  used a little twine, which I liked better.  A Prima flower and and a dyed doily finished off the card.

Here is the stamp set used on the card:

This stamp set as well as all the other {ippity} stamp sets are available here.

Moxie Fab World Classy and Elegant

Classy and elegant is one of the four style challenges going on now at Moxie Fab World.  I decided to play along with this challenge and see what I could come up with.  After thinking about it for a while I came up with this card.

I love the Queen Bee paper collection from Pink Paislee and thought the papers would work well with this challenge. I used a French script stamp for the background of the center square.  I then stamped and embossed the wreath with grey ink and clear embossing powder.  To finish off the center square I added a small rose and some rhinestones.  I used a French sentiment to finish off the card.

The card challenges are going on until Monday, August 2nd if you'd like to play along. You can visit Moxie Fab World here.

Thanks for looking,
Susan
