MFT Color and Sketch Challenges

Once again I made a card for the My Favorite Things weekly color and sketch challenges.   For the challenges I used the Kitschy Kitchen stamps and dies along with the Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges 2 dies.

I highlighted the stamped images by brushing a light layer of  Berrylicious  ink in the background. The blue paper is from  the Tranquil Textures paper pack.  I never would have thought to use these colors together, but I really this color combination and I'm glad I gave this challenge a try.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!

MFT Weekly Challenges

I decided to play along with the challenges at My Favorite Things this week.  Those challenges are the sketch challenge and color challenge

To create this card, I used the flower dies from the Sensational Stitched Flowers card kit.  Rather than cut the flowers out of colored cardstock, I cut the flowers out of white cardstock and colored with Pan Pastels.  This way I could have some color variations on the flowers.  Foam adhesive  was added between the flower layers to make them stand out.  The sentiment was cut from several colors of card stock and glued  together for added dimension.  A few black dots finished off the card.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a good day!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge - 332

Today I have a card to share that I made for this week's sketch challenge at My Favorite Things.  With Mother's Day this weekend I decided to use a spring theme for this card.

To create this card I used the Spring Tulips stamp set along with the Pierced Oval Fame dies.  The patterned paper came from the Sorbet Dots and Stripes paper pack.  Foam adhesive  gave the card just enough dimension to make the flowers pop out from the card.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Pin- Sights Challenge

Today I have a card to share that I made for the
Pin-Sight Challenge at Ellen Hutson.  I loved the soft pastel colors in the photos below and  decided to give the challenge a try.

To make the card I used the Bed of Roses  and the Be-YOU-Tiful dies from Essentials by Ellen.  The ombre background was made using Peerless watercolors, and vellum was used to highlight the sentiment.  This rose die is so pretty and depending the colors you use, it can take on many different looks.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a good day.
