Ippity Stamps Regal Greetings 3D Flower

The {ippity} challenge for this week was to create a card using a 3D flower.  This is the card I came up with.

I have admired these rosebud flowers for a long time.   After reading several tutorials, I finally decided to try making one.  As it turned out, it was much easier than I thought.  The paper I used is from the Lilykate collection by Basicgrey.  The pretty Russian sage card stock is from Memory Box.  The stamp is from the Regal Greetings stamp set available here.  I think this card would be lovely for a wedding if I only knew someone who was getting married!

Have a great day,

{ippity} Hop

Good morning !  I hope you have all been enjoying todays hop.  Today's card was inspired by the movie Avatar.   My son loved this movie and bought the Blu-ray version of it.  He asked me to watch it with him and I was amazed at the stunning graphics in the Blu-ray version.  I loved the mystical and magical feel of this movie.  The scene that inspired this card was the scene in which hundreds of jelly fish like creatures or flowers ( I'm not sure what they were) fell from the sky to cover Jake, the main character in the film.

So I pulled out my favorite butterfly punches and came up with this card.  The sentiment is from Just Wanted to Say  (available here ) and the background stamp is Mixed Messages from Unity.  This is one of my favorite stamps.

If you ever have the opportunity to watch this movie in Blu-ray, watch it.  I caught a glimpse of the DVD version and it just wasn't the same, but I digress.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 13th when the release of the new spring stamps will be unveiled.  I personally think this is the best collection to date and I am so excited to share the new stamp kits with you.  I'll have more information and some sneak peeks in the weeks ahead.

Ippity Hop Monday

Good morning everyone and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  Today's card uses the Regal Greetings stamp kit and Anna Griffin papers.

I love Anna Griffin's papers and her elegant style, and  I especially like the colors of these papers in particular.  To add some texture to the card, I hand embossed the journal tag. I haven't hand embossed for a long time since the invention of the Cuttle Bug, but I may start again after working on this card.  Hand embossing gives your card a whole different feel.   The sentiment and wreath are from Regal Greetings available for sale here.

FWF Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to another FWF blog hop with Unity.  I know there are a lot of participants in todays hop, so I'll keep my post short and sweet.  Todays card used the Vintage Postcard stamp from Unity.

The more I use this stamp the more I like it.  I started by stamping  the image onto paper by Webster's pages.  I have to admit, as much as I love this paper, I find it a bit intimidating because, the images are so beautiful, I hate to cover them up.  But this paper went beautiful with this stamp.  I then used Regal Greetings from {ippity} for the sentiment and scrolls.  For the butterfly, I used the Mixed Messages stamp from Unity and a butterfly punch.

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek.  To continue along the blog, click here.  If you want to see more of the Regal Greetings stamp kit, click here.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and have a wonderful day.

ippity Hop Monday

Welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  Spring has finally arrived, the sun is shinning and finally the warm weather has returned. A new season of Glee starts tomorrow night and I am a happy woman! The card I made for today uses pastel spring colors - pale yellow, aqua and a pop of red.

This card came about because I wanted to use some new embossing power I just bought.  The color is  a little too light for this card, but I liked the color so much I just wanted to use it.  I used two different stamp sets on this card.  The sentiment came from the  Just wanted to Say stamp kit.  The flourish and dot background came from the Love in Return stamp kit.  Both kits are available here
I love the flourish in this stamp kit, especially the little flower within  the flourish.  To make the flourish stand out I outlined it with red dots and colored the flower petals and leaves with a yellow marker. I also liked the dot stamp in this set.  It's perfect for backgrounds.
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the hop.

Unity Friends With Flair Blog Hop

Good morning everyone!  This is my first Unity blog hop and I am so excited!  I have lots of {ippity} stamps, but not nearly as many Unity stamps, so I was thrilled to have a chance to finally ink up my Unity stamps.  I chose pink and black as the colors for my card today.

The text background and flowers are both from Unity. Unfortunately, I don't have the name of the text stamp, but the flower stamp is called Feelin' Fluffy.  I love the little hearts on the end of each flower, so cute.   The sentiment  is from the Just Wanted to Say stamp set by {ippity} that is available here

Thank you so much for stopping by today and allowing me to join in the fun!  To visit the next blog click here

Have a wonderful weekend,
