{ippity} Hop Monday - Devoted

Good morning and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful creations you have seen so far. The card I made for today uses the Devoted stamp set.

I chose navy blue cardstock for the card base and a mega nesttabilities die for the unusual shape.  All the pattern paper is from the  Blue Awning line by  K& Company.  An Anna Griffin punch was used for the wreath and the red flower is from Prima.  The psalm is from the Devoted                      stamp set.
This set contains several religions sentiments and related images that are ideal for both cards and  scrapbooking.  This set is available here.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy the rest of the hop!

Hugs,
Susan

Regal Greetings {ippity} Hop Monday

Good morning {ippity} chicks and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  My favorite {ippity} set is Regal Greetings and todays card uses this set.

I really like these papers from My Mind's Eye Home collection.  I think they go perfect with the simple elegance of this stamp set.  I stamped the top half of the card with watermark ink, but it came out so light you can barely see it!  Some clear crystals added a little sparkle to finish off the card.  I love this stamp set because it is so versatile.  The beautiful frames, boarder stamps and the elegant fonts used for the sentiments can be used year around for a variety of occasions.   This beautiful  stamp  set is available  here.

Sweet Thoughts of Spring

Today I have sweet card to share with you using the chick from the Sweet Thoughts of Spring stamps set from {ippity}.

The other day I saw an advertisement for a cracked egg punch and this card came to mind. So instead of buying the punch, I just cut out an oval shape and cut it in half to make my own cracked egg. I used soft pink and yellows  and little bit of Easter grass to brighten the card.  I love the egg and chick together!  You can make a lot of cute cards from this stamp set and this is just one of the ideas. The chick and bunny would also look cute in an Easter basket. The spring stamps and chick are all from this stamp kit which can be purchased here.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

{ippity} Hop Monday - Where You Should Be

Good Morning fellow chicks and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  Today I made a card using the multipurpose Where You Should Be  stamp set.

I have to say I absolutely love the foliage in this stamp
set. The leaves and berries create a beautiful stamped
image. The  images on this card were stamped and then
embossed with clear embossing powder for a nice sheen.
Copic markers were used to color the images.  A little
butterfly accents the card.

If you like this set as much as I do, it can be purchased here.

{ippity} Stamps - Sweet Thoughts of Spring

Today I have a fun little card for you using the new Sweet Thoughts of Spring stamp set from {ippity}.

This stamp set has so many cute images and many of the images can be used year around.  On this card I used the chick, flowers, scallop and sentiment stamps.  I covered the images with glitter to  give the card a sugary effect, like sugar Easter eggs. I love a little sparkle on cards and the glitter adds a fun touch.  The bright colored paper from Cosmo Cricket and the cute {ippity} stamps made for a bright, cheery card.  To purchase this stamp set please visit my {ippity} store here.

Thats all for now.  Have a happy day and thanks for stopping by.

{ippity} Hop Monday - Sweet Thoughts of Spring

Hello and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  I knew spring was on the way when I looked out my kitchen window and saw flower  buds starting to appear on my great big magnolia tree.  In a few weeks the buds will turn into hundreds of pink flowers and my tree will be a sight to behold!  With spring in mind, I decided to use the adorable  Sweet Thoughts of Spring stamp set  to make this week's card.

One of my favorite of color combinations is pink, aqua and cream and this stamp set lends itself nicely to this color palette. I started the card by stamping the bunny onto vellum and then embossing it with pink embossing powder.  I then used blue glitter paper to create a frame.  I had orginally stamped and embossed the bunny onto white glitter paper but when I went to assemble the card , I noticed that the feet of my bunny had rubbed off , so plan number two was vellum!  I then used the beautiful new paper from the My Mind's Eye Home collection.  I inked my little doily with tea dye ink so it would blend in better with the card, then added a little flower.  The sentiment and flowers were inked with a color called Island.

Please visit my {ippity} store here, if you would like to view more of this adorable stamp set which consists of 13 individual stamps.

{ippity} Challenge - Card for a Boy

I was thrilled when I saw the challenge to make a card for a boy because I have boys and always make cards for them.  My boys are big Nintendo fans and even though they are older now and have outgrown all the cute Nintendo characters, they still like to play the games.  My youngest son just had a birthday and requested a Nintendo card, so I thought I'd make another one for this challenge using {ippity} stamps.

The Nintendo character on this card is Kirby.  Kirby has his own yellow star that he rides on, hence I used stars for the balloons. The stamp I used for the banner is from the Life's Little Moments set.  After I stamped the sentiment, I used clear embossing powder to give it some shine.  Kirby himself is made out of circle and oval shapes.  The crown and stars are die cuts.  Kirby is the only Nintendo character I could figure out how to make besides the mushroom character, so it was a fun little card to make.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

A Little {ippity}, a Little Hero Arts - Thank you Card

Today I have a thank you card to share with you using some {ippity} and Hero Arts stamps. I love doilies for some reason and when I saw the doily stamps by Hero Arts I knew I had to have one.  We always had doilies around our house when we were growing up, and  I have doilies all over my house.  I can't seem to place a dish or vase or even a candle holder for that matter on a table without a doily underneath it!  Then it dawned on me one day that they seem to be a thing of the past. Where do you go to buy a doily these days?  They are so hard to find!  I hope doilies are making a comeback because I love them!  When my husband needed a thank you card for one his co-workers, my doily stamp immediately came to mind.

I love red and blue together, it's such a cheery combination. The card came together with red and white card stock, blue ink, red ribbon and an edger punch .The Circle Doily stamp is one of Hero Arts new cling stamps.  The sentiment is from Regal Greetings by {ippity}.  This is probably one my favorite stamp sets because of the ornate images.  To see more of this set, click here.  I finished off the card with a corner stamp on the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed todays card.

Thanks for stopping by,
Susan

{ippity} Hop Monday -Box Flower

Hello and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday. The other day I came across the Cosmo Cricket blog and viewed a tutorial on making a box flower.  It looked like an easy and fun project so I decided to incorporate the box flower into today's card.

As you can see in the second photo this is a nice, full flower with a lot of dimension.  It's basically 4 punched out circles , that are folded in half and then layered the same way you would close a box.  For this flower, I used two different size punches to create two flowers and then I layered them to create one flower.  There was so much red on the card that I added some leaves to introduce another color.  The sentiment and frame are from the Just Wanted To Say stamp set.  The paper, I'm sure you'll recognize, is from the My Mind's Eye be loved collection.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to view all the other blogs on today's hop by clicking here.  And a big thank you to all you lovely ladies who take time each week to leave a comment on my blog.  I really appreciate all the kind feedback you leave each week! Thank you so much.

Hugs,
Susan
