{ippity} Hop Monday Regal Greetings

Good morning ladies and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday.  I was thrilled to receive the new stamps from the Winter Collection this week. All the images are fabulous, but my absolute favorite set is Regal Greetings. I love all the beautiful images in this stamp set, from the ornate frames and images to the beautiful fonts used for the sentiments. Needless to say, todays card was made using this set.

For this card I used soft, muted shades of blue and yellow on a pale yellow card base.   For the background of the tag, I used the French script stamp from Hero Arts.   I then stamped and embossed the crown and sentiment with dark blue embossing powder.  For the middle strip of paper, I used an edger punch and outlined it with  distress ink.  A pearl stick pin  and cream satin ribbon finished off the card.   I love the simple elegance of these stamps.

I can see so many uses for this stamp set and I can't wait to play with it again! This set along with the all the other new releases are available at my {ippity} store.  Please click here to view all the new releases.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and the wonderful creations made by the talented ippity chicks.  Click here for the complete list of participants.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.

{ippity} Hop Monday, Devoted

Hello and welcome to the {ippity} hop.  I  have not yet received my new stamps from todays release of the Winter Collection.  So in honor of President's Day, I made a card that reminded me of a colonial home George Washington or Abraham Lincoln might have lived in.  Although, I've been to Lincoln's house in Vermont, it was really quite beautiful.

This little house is from the Devoted stamp set. To see more of this stamp set, please visit my {ippity} store here. I made an attempt at paper-piecing and this is what I ended up with. Paper- piecing is something I'm not very good at because I do not enjoy it very much.  It's just so hard to cut  all those teeny tiny pieces of paper!  I certainly admire crafters who paper-piece, but it's just not my thing!
My new stamps will arrive later this week. Next Monday I'll have a card made with the new stamps.  I can hardly wait! Until then, enjoy the rest of the {ippity} hop, and check back with me next week when I can show off the new stamp sets.

{ippity} Because of You - Anniversary Card

Good morning everyone.  It's snowing today and a little bit gloomy, so I thought it would be a good time to post a card I made the other day using the flower from Ippity's Because of You stamp set.

I also used the anniversary label from Just Wanted To Say.  I took my colors for the card from this beautiful paper from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush collection. I stamped, then embossed the flowers and leaves on vellum and cut them out.  I also used embossing power on the label and sentiment to make them stand out.  My  son photographed the card for me and I think he did an amazing job!  If you are interested in either of these stamp sets, please visit my {ippity} shop by clicking here.
I'm off to make lunches and then do some laundry.  Have a wonderful day!

{ippity} Hop Monday

Hello again ladies and welcome to another {ippity} hop.  The card I want to share with you today uses the chicken from the Simply Home stamp set.

I didn't realize how cute this stamp was until I started to play around with it.  Once I saw how cute it was, I thought it would go perfect with some Martha Stewart tags I had.  After I stamped the image in black, I used clear embossing power which gave the stamped image a nice shine.  After researching egg color, I settled on brown and speckled eggs. I had to research egg color just in case there were some other egg colors besides white and brown that I wasn't aware of!  I did find a nice egg chart of various colored eggs but I settled on brown eggs with a few speckles.  I can't wait to see what the other {ippity} chicks have made for today's hop.  Please click here for the list of hop participants. If you're interested in the Simply Home stamp set at a special price for today only, please click here.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the hop!

{ippity} Stamps - Thank You Cards

Good morning friends.  I have a couple of  thank you cards to share with you today.  These cards feature one of the mushrooms from the Because of  You stamp set.

As you can see, I stamped the mushroom three times in bright colored chalk ink.  The sentiment is from the Just Wanted To Say  stamp set.  A decorative edge punch was used to frame the stamped images.  The stitching  on the card is a little uneven, plus I realized that the tension was a little off after I had finished sewing.  I'll have to fix this before I sew again on paper.  But I like the cards anyway, even if they need a little tweaking.  For more information on these stamp sets, please click here.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a wonderful weekend,

{ippity} Hop Monday - Happy Birthday to Ewe

Good morning everyone and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday. Today's card is a birthday card using the Simply Home stamp set by {ippity}.

This stamp set has so many cute images on it, and the sheep is one of my favorites.  This card took me forever to make because it seemed like I had one problem after another (I'll spare you the details), but in the end everything came together and I like how it turned out. I stamped the sheep and clouds, and used die cuts for the rest of the card.

I can't wait to see what everyone else created this week.  For a complete list of people participating in this weeks hop, please click here. If you would like to purchase or see more of the Simply Home stamp set, please click here.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek,
