Growing in Unity Day 1

Good morning! I am so excited to be your Growing in Unity gal this week.  To start the week off, I am sharing with you a birthday card.

For a long time I've had this idea of using the sheet music stamp from the Music of My Heart stamp set and using it as a background for a birthday card.  This week I finally did it and I like how it turned  out.  To get the multicolored effect, I stamped the music stamp with Versamark ink then brushed the different lines of the  stanza with Perfect Pearls which added a nice sheen to the card.  Then using the {ippity} birthday set Party Hat Wishes I stamped the sentiment and birthday hat onto vellum using white ink and white embossing powder. To add some color to the hat I colored the back of the hat with a purple marker.  A few pink rhinestones and coordinating purple paper from Hero Arts completed the card.

Remember, everyone who leaves a comment on my blog posts this week will be eligible for a drawing  to receive their choice of any two itty bitty stamp sets directly from Unity. The winner will be announced Saturday afternoon here on my blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and if you need a little {ippity}  check out my {ippity} blog, Ippity stamps and ink. Until tomorrow....
