{ippity} Hop Monday - Sweet Thoughts of Spring
Hello and welcome to another {ippity} hop Monday. I knew spring was on the way when I looked out my kitchen window and saw flower buds starting to appear on my great big magnolia tree. In a few weeks the buds will turn into hundreds of pink flowers and my tree will be a sight to behold! With spring in mind, I decided to use the adorable Sweet Thoughts of Spring stamp set to make this week's card.

One of my favorite of color combinations is pink, aqua and cream and this stamp set lends itself nicely to this color palette. I started the card by stamping the bunny onto vellum and then embossing it with pink embossing powder. I then used blue glitter paper to create a frame. I had orginally stamped and embossed the bunny onto white glitter paper but when I went to assemble the card , I noticed that the feet of my bunny had rubbed off , so plan number two was vellum! I then used the beautiful new paper from the My Mind's Eye Home collection. I inked my little doily with tea dye ink so it would blend in better with the card, then added a little flower. The sentiment and flowers were inked with a color called Island.
