The Play Date Cafe Challenge

I loved the pretty blues and green used for this weeks challenge at the Play Date Cafe and decided to play along to see what I could come up with.  The challenge is to create a card using the colors found in this photo:

Using this color scheme, I created this pumpkin card. I know blue and green are not fall colors, but I had this idea for an card and decided to go with it using  blues and greens.

I  began this card by embossing the background using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Using a text stamp I stamped over the embossed images with green ink so the images would stand out.  I like how the text is printed only on the raised areas and not the entire background.  I then paper pieced the pumpkin using Basic Grey paper.  A little ribbon, some pumpkin tendrils and a sentiment finished off the card.

Thanks so much for taking the time to take a look and have a wonderful day!

Susan
