{ippity} Hop Valentine Pocket Card
Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my blog. Today is {ippity} Hop Monday, and I for one always enjoy looking at all the wonderful creations made by the talented {ippity} chicks. My project for today's blog hop is a pocket Valentine card.
This card is made by sewing one and one half hearts together to make the pocket. The inside heart is cut about one and a half inches smaller. The embossed vellum flowers are from the Because of You stamp set by {ippity}. I love the look of the embossed flowers because they remind me of a lace doily. Some ribbon, a buttton, lace, heart pins and a deorative edge punch finished off the card. Just in case you noticed, the brown spot on the card is printed on the cardstock. Another idea for this card would be to hang the card from ribbon so you could hang it on a wall, door knob or draw pull. Instead of using the inside heart, you could just fill the pocket with candy, a love note or little trinkets. This is a very versatile card that can be used in a variety of ways. This card would also work well using the sentiment "you stole my heart" from the Straight From the Heart stamp set. If you would like to purchase either stamp set, please click here. Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog and please dont't forget to check out all the other blogs in todays {ippity} hop.
Hugs,
Susan
