I can't believe its been so long since I've posted a project! Life has been so busy that I just haven't had the time or space to do much crafting. But now things are settling down and I have plenty of time to get back to blogging and crafting.

Moxie Fab World: The Championing Award Medallions Challenge

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the Moxie Fab World Championing Award Medallions Challenge.
The challenge was to make a project using a medallion. For my project I made a Christmas card with a medallion as the focal point.

To start the card I made a double layered medallion from metallic red foil board and foil stamped paper from Martha Stewart. I then used a Prima flower center for the center of the medallion. For the background of the card, I cut out the center of the card with the Picot Edge Circle die from Spellinders and backed it with metallic red foil board. I then cut out another circle from this pretty wood grain patterned paper and inlaid it over the red foil board. The sentiment is from the Martha Stewart Christmas Tree stamp set.

{ippity] Thanksgiving blog hop

Ippity Stamps November Release and New Sketch Challenge

Good morning! I hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks of the new stamp sets over the last few days and today I can finally show you the entire sets. The first set, Warm Wishes (IPK-158) is a beautiful winter themed stamp set and sells for less than $17.00.

The next set, Pain and Pride (IPK-159) contains this nice large image of the fallen penguin in the snow and sells for less than $6.00.

Ippity Sketch Challenge Week Four - Season's Greetings

Good morning and welcome to week four of the Ippity Sketch challenge. I am so excited to be your sponsor for this weeks challenge! I have a seen a lot of Christmas village stamp sets recently, and thought the same look could be created using {ippity} stamps. So I pulled out this wonderful stamp set - Where You Should Be and used the houses in this set to create my Christmas village. I stamped the images on watercolor paper then used watercolor paints to color the houses. To create the holiday feel, I created small swags from a paper punch then added white Flower Soft and small red berries. I then added more Flower Soft around the houses to create the look of a Christmas village. I really like it when you can take an everyday stamp set and use it for multiple purposes, such as holiday projects.

Ippity Christmas in October Blog Hop

For my project, I used Ippity stamps to create my gingerbread man card.

To begin the card I used the Tim Holtz Gingerbread Man die from Sizzix. I've always loved this die, and since I bought it on sale last year after Christmas, I've waited a whole year to finally have the chance to use it! The gingerbread man was cut out of kraft card stock and darkened with Ranger distress ink. Stamps from Season of Joy and Gingham Christmas Greetings were used to decorate the card. Some gingham ribbon, buttons and ric rac trim completed the card.

Ippity Sketch Challenge

Hello {ippity} friends! It's week two of the {ippity} sketch challenge and I was so excited when I saw this weeks sketch because it gave me the opportunity to make another shaped card. Here is this weeks sketch,

and here is the card I created.

Isn't this a great sketch? I began by pulling out my old Sizzix oval die to make the oval card base. I then used papers from Glitz Design for the rest of the card. Three Ippity stamps sets were used on this card; Friends + Flowers = Priceless was used for the flowers, New Season New Wonder was used for the distressed sentiment and My True Joy was used for the flourish. I also added a second photo of the card to show the dimension of the flower. To add dimension, I simply rubbed the back of the flowers with my Empressor and as I rubbed, the petals turned upward. I then turned the flowers over and added pop dots for dimension.

Welcome to launch day of the {ippity} sketch blog. Here is the sketch for this week,

I love making shaped cards so I used my Labels One Spellbinders die to create the shape of this card. The pattern paper I used is from October Afternoon. The daisies are from the newest {ippity} release Thanks for all Things and the sentiment came from How you Doin'. I layered the flowers with pop dots for added dimension and used a punch from Anna Griffin for the leaves. Some black ribbon that I zigzagged across the center of the card and a few black pearls finished off the card.

To celebrate the launch of the sketch blog I made a Halloween card using the fun Halloween set, That's Creepy.

To create the card I used Ranger distress inks in the colors of yellow and orange to color the background of the sentiment. The sentiment was then attached to a rosette that was layered on a scroll design made out of a Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 die. Papers from Martha Stewart were used for the background with the spider stamped multiple times on one of the paper panels. A few yellow and orange rhinestones were added to the candy corn paper to finish off the card. I hope you are enjoying this weeks hop and hope you can join us each week for the sketch challenge.

Card Patterns... Sketch #134

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for this week's Card Patterns sketch.

I changed the sketch a little bit and flipped the sketch from horizontal to vertical. The heart stamp I used came from one of my favorite {ippity} stamp sets, How YOU Doin'. I stamped each image on watercolor paper and colored the images with watercolor paints. A strip of aqua paper highlighted the border punch and black twill ribbon completed the card.

A Little {ippity} and Clean and Simple

When I saw this week's Clean and Simple sketch I immediately thought of the {ippity} stamp set, Make Your Mark. I love the images in this set and thought the little flowers in this set would work well with this sketch. Let me first show you the sketch...

and here is the card I created using this set.

I wanted to do a multi colored card so I stamped each flower in a different color of chalk ink. I was then lucky enough to find the perfect size punch to cut out the flowers. I attached the stamped image to a flower base with a pop dot for a 3D effect. The Gypsy paper from Basic Grey coordinated nicely with the colors I picked out. The sentiment I used came from my go to stamp set when I need a simple sentiment, How YOU Doin'.

I like both sets, but my favorite is the small set, Thanks For All Things and the best part is it's less then $6.00!

Moxie Fab World: The Square Sketch Challenge

Today is the last day to enter the Moxie Fab World Sketch Challenges, so today I made a last minute card for the Square Card Challenge. Here is the sketch,

I thought this flower was so pretty and unique so I stamped it slightly off center and used watercolor paints in the colors of orange, red and yellow. I then used a vine stamp to highlight the sentiment. A red mat, small tag and a bit of ribbon finished off the card.

Good morning everyone! The days and months seem to be whizzing by and the holidays will be here before we know it! With the feeling of Fall in the air , I made a Fall themed card for today's Friends With Flair hop as well as for the Ippity challenge which also happens to be a Fall themed challenge.

I used the {ippity} stamp set Fall for You for this card. Watercolor paints were used to color the leaves and since I didn't have any Fall sentiments in my stamp sets, I found a Fall quote I liked and used that.

Moxie Fab World The Horizontal Sketch Challenge

Welcome! I know it's only September, but I thought I'd make a Christmas card based on this sketch challenge for the Moxie Fab World Horizontal Sketch Challenge. Thanks to this sketch, I have an early start on my holiday card making. Here is the sketch,

When I saw this sketch, I thought it would work well with the Spellbinders Postage Stamps dies I just bought, along with the new {ippity} stamp set, Gingham Christmas Greetings. I love this die and stamp set and the fun little stamps you can create with it! I tried to keep the country feel of the stamp set by using kraft card stock for the card base and distressing the edges. I then added some red and white twine, a glitter snowflake and a tiny rhinestone star to complete the card.

Ippity Challenge Time

Good morning everyone! Did you know that {ippity} has a challenge blog? To participate in the challenge all you have to do is make a project using {ippity} stamps and post it to the challenge blog. One lucky participant will be selected to win a $20.00 gift certificate to be used with the {ippity} chick of your choice. All skill levels are encouraged to play. The theme for the new challenge is FAll.

For my challenge card I took a different take on the theme and used colors of Fall: brown, orange and teal.

I used two different stamp sets on this card. The flowers are from Cherish Your Dreams and the sentiment is from How You Doin'. The pattern papers are from the Mabel collection by My Mind's Eye. I love using my watercolor paints so I stamped the image with Burnt Umber Palette Ink onto watercolor paper. I then used the watercolor paints to color the flowers and background.

Ippity New Release Day

Good morning! It's release day at Ippity and I have two new stamp sets to share with you. The first set celebrates the holidays with this adorable stamp set titled Gingham Christmas Greetings that sells for $16.75 and contains 9 rubber stamps.

For the card I made, I used muted colors of blue, green and grey. I made a small frame from the sheet music stamp to frame the smallest of the two trees in the set. Some ribbon and rhinestones finished off the card.

The next set, All Things Are Possible, is perfect for showing your support for a cause or sending encouragement and support to someone in need.

This mini set contains 5 rubber stamps and sells for $5.75.
I used watercolor paints to color the image, then added some glitter to the ribbon and wings. I have to admit I didn't realize how many organizations use a colored ribbon to bring awareness to their cause. Obviously the pink ribbon signifies breast cancer and the red ribbon signifies AIDS awareness while the yellow ribbon represents soldier support. Yet there are so many more organizations that bring awareness to their cause with a colored ribbon. Here is a comprehensive list of all the different colored ribbons and the causes they represent. I think this butterfly is a simple, yet lovely image to use on a card to send a note of encouragement and support.

The Play Date Cafe PDCC97

Welcome! The card I have to share with you today was made for the color splash challenge at The Play Date Cafe. The challenge this week was to use black and white with a splash of red.

Here is the card I created using this color palette.

Whenever I do these challenges it's always hard to know what is considered a splash of color. Is it a splash, a drip or a hint of color? How much color is too much and how much color is not enough? So I just make a black and white card and add whatever color is needed to complete the design of the card.
I like the effect of white embossing on vellum, so I used the little Ippity stamp set Thankful For You which I thought would be perfect for this technique. I began by cutting out a vellum sleeve to fit over the black card base. I then stamped and embossed the images in white. I added a few red rhinestones and a red ribbon to complete the card.

Before I go, here is a little hurricane update. We received a tropical storm as opposed to hurricane winds. We had a lot of rain and wind and fortunately we didn't loose any shrubs or trees. I thought for sure my Rose of Sharon tree was going to fly out of the ground because it kept swirling around in circles, but luckily the tree stayed in the ground. We did loose electricity for six hours but we were able to leave the house and go up to New Hampshire where all the stores were open. So we went out to lunch, did a little shopping and came back home when the electricity returned. We were lucky not to have any flooding or damage.

Welcome! Since we have a hurricane coming up the coast this weekend, I wanted to post a card I made before the electricity goes out. However, we hardly ever loose electricity during a storm; we seem to always loose it on a normal day with nothing special going on in the weather department! It will be interesting to see what happens with this storm. I think New York will be hit hard, but by the time it makes it's way to Boston, it should die down, but we'll see!

For todays card I started with sketch # 232 from CPS and the colors came from The Play Date Cafe PDCC96 based on this week's color combination of mint, ivory and coral.

Here is the card I created:

I love this little Ippity stamp set titled Loads of Love and couldn't wait to make a card using this set. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and used watercolor paints to color the image. Some buttons, a flower and twine finished off the card. I wasn't sure about using only three colors on this card but I think the limited color combination worked.

You Are Fabulous

Hello everyone! I seem to have neglected my blog lately so today I decided to make a card based on this weeks Cards Patterns sketch # 127.

I wanted to make a bright and cheerful card so I started by using this pretty background paper from The Girl's Paperie. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Ippity stamp set Where You Should Be. The rolled flowers were made using gingham and polka dot paper. As much as I love the look of these flowers, I have the worst time making them! I figure one of these days, I'll get the hang of making them, at least I hope will! I then punched out some leaves, added a butterfly and some lace and the card was complete.

Ippity - New Release Day

It's the fifth of the month and time for the new releases. I really like both of the new sets but I love the flowers in the Make Your Mark set.

Here are the details on the two sets:

I made two cards using the Make Your Mark stamp set.

This was the first card I made using brown and oranges. I wasn't sure if I liked it so I redid the card in purple and pink.

I couldn't decide which card I liked better so I decided to post both of the cards, since my son liked the brown card and I liked the purple card. For both cards I used a Unity ledger stamp for the background. The first card was stamped on stamping paper and colored with markers. The purple card was stamped on watercolor paper and painted with watercolor paints. I love the little honeycomb stamp in this set and found it was perfect for making a scalloped border.

I didn't have a chance to use the Loads of Love set, but I can see making a card with it and sending it to my son when he goes away to college. I told him I was going to do that and he said "Mom, No!" But I think once he's away for a while, he'll enjoy getting a little card in the mail that says " Sending you loads of love".... at least I hope he will!

Ippity - Aren't You Super

Today I have another fun little card to share with you which uses the {ippity} stamp set The Best.

To start the card I used this weeks sketch from Clean and Simple #151. The pattern paper is Circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket. A Martha Stewart border punch and some tiny star rhinestones finished off the card.

Ippity - There is Light

I have a quick little {ippity} card to share with you today. For this card I used one of the newer {ippity} sets - Shine.

I like this set for those occasions when you want to send words of encouragement or acknowledge a big event in someone's life. You know those big events people spend a long time preparing for such as recitals, presentations or even going off to college.

Using kraft card stock, I inked the edges in black then stamped the images and added some twine and a small rhinestone for the lamp finial.

Two new stamp sets are being released this Friday. One really pretty floral set and one mini set. One of my cards will be featured on the Unity Blog on Friday using one of the new sets so I hope you have a chance to check it out.

Moxie Fab World Fanatical About Botanical Challenge

Today I have card to share with you that I made for the Fanatical About Botanical Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

I love botanical prints and when I saw this challenge I was so excited to see what I could create. I immediately thought of Anna Griffin and her beautiful and realistic floral images. I began the card with pale yellow card stock and stamped all the images in brown ink. I lightly colored the center of the flowers pale pink and used a honeycomb background stamp to compliment the bees on the card. Some brown satin ribbon finished off the card.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #91

Good morning! Today we finally have a little break from the heat wave we had last week and I decided to play along with the challenge at The Play Date Cafe. It's color splash week which means the challenge is to make a black and white card with a splash of color.

For this card I used the mini {ippity} stamp set {...thankful for you} and coral was my splash of color. One of the tips from the online card class I took this summer was to repeat images. So I stamped the butterfly twice and the sentiment once and cut them out using the same circle die. To mat the stamped images I used the woven circle Memory Box die with coral polka dot paper. To coordinate with the woven circle, I used a scalloped border die for the edge of the card. Black embossed paper was used for the card base.

Summer Card Camp- Week 4

Sadly, this is the last week of summer card camp and here is the color combo for this week and the card I created.

I love this weeks color combo with the soft blues and greens. In the midst of the heat wave we are having, I feel so much cooler every time I see these colors! I used the large Spellbinders Labels One die to make this shape card. For the bracket background, I used the Bracket Block Scrapblock from Cornish Heritage Farms. The flowers were stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder as well as the leaves. I used a daisy punch for the border then added some twine and rhinestones to finish off the card.

I have certainly enjoyed my four week card class and look forward to another summer of card classes next year!

Summer Card Class Week 3

It's week 3 of my summer online card class and here is the color combo for this week.

Using this color combo here is the card I created.

To start the card, I used the Spellbinders Eyelet Squares die to cut the card base out of kraft card stock. I used a smaller die from the same set for the center square and used a leaf stamp for the background pattern. I then used a flower pot punch to punch out a flower pot from brown polka dot paper. I used a little heart punch to punch out a heart in the center of the flower pot and backed it with red paper. I then stamped and embossed the red flowers as well as the sentiment. After the flowers were cut out, I attached them to the card with pop dots and added a little bow to the sentiment with brown twine.

Moxie Fab World: Stamp It Challenge

Good morning! Today I have a card to share with you that uses the {ippity} stamp set Shine. I have to admit, when I first saw this set, the light bulb was my least favorite of all the stamps in this set. Then I thought about colored light bulbs that you see from time to time in stores and thought what if I randomly stamped the light bulb then had a glow of color coming from each bulb. So that was my idea and here is the card I created.

Since I've been playing with watercolor paints lately, I decided to stamp the images on watercolor paper and then paint the center of each bulb. The cord on the light bulb was masked off and then I randomly stamped each bulb. I tried several random patterns and paint colors, but I liked this random pattern the best and I found that using varying shades of the same color worked the best as opposed to using multi colors. Some little black pearls and ribbon finished off the card.

Since stamping was predominant element in this card, I decided to enter it the Moxie Fab World Stamp It Challenge. This challenge is open until the end of the day today, if you want to play along.

Ippity Stamps - Old and New

Today's post is all about {ippity} and all the new stamp sets that have recently been released. First I have a card to share with you that used elements from three {ippity} stamps sets.

I began the card with this card sketch from Got Sketch? .The three stamp sets I used to make this card are: The Best (banners), My True Joy (flower) and How YOU Doin (sentiment). All the paper I used is from Chloe's Closet by Making Memories. Every time I see this flower from My True Joy, I think watercolor. So I bought some watercolor paints just for this flower! I stamped the flower on watercolor paper with Palette ink then painted it and cut it out. I found these chunky banners were perfect for adding a variety of pattern paper to your projects as well as adding sentiments or quotes to your project.

The other {ippity} news is the release of two new stamp sets this week: Shine and {...thankful for you}.

The photos of the new sets are different from the usual photos we receive with the stamp name and number on them, so if the photos look a little different this is why. I now have the stamps in stocks and will post sample cards as soon as I can. Please visit my {ippity} stamps blog to view all the entire collection.

Card Class- Week Two

Good morning! It's been a while since I've done a blog post but I get a bit lazy in the summer! The warm weather comes and the boys are home and it seems like I always have some project to do around the house. I did however decide to take an online card making class and today I have a card to share with your using the color scheme for this week.

For this card I decided to use some stamp sets that I haven't used in a while, namely Vintage Garden from Memory Box and the Honeycomb background stamp from Impress Rubber Stamps. To make the card I used the Labels Sixteen die from Spellbinders and paper from Papertrey Ink. I used the following Distress Inks from Ranger in the colors of mustard seed, dried marigold and barn door. For the leaves I used fresh green ink from Color Box. The seniment came from Lizzie Ann designs. A few pearls and rhinestones were added to the center of the flowers to complete the card.

Ippity - Cuppy Cakes

Good day everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The new {ippity} challenge for this month is to make a project using bling and or sparkle. I thought the perfect stamp set for this challenge would be the adorable Cuppy Cakes stamp set.

It may be a little hard to tell from the photograph but the top portion of the cup cake is covered in white glitter and a small rhinestone is added to the center of the flower. I also used another {ippity} set on this card, Dots for Sure for the wrapping and top of the cupcake. Spellbinders dies were used for all the shapes on the card and the paper came from
K & Company.

Many Thanks - The Play Date Cafe

Okay, maybe I'm partial, I but really like the new Ippity stamp set, Friends + Flowers=Priceless. When I saw the beautiful color combination from The Play Date Cafe this week I couldn't wait to ink up this stamp set.

Here is the card I created, using the colors of blueberry, cream and dusty rose.

I began the card by stamping the flowers onto Sweet Blush Polka Dot paper from Papertrey Ink. Then I stamped the flower stems onto cream card stock and added the cut out flowers. Each flower was accented with a small button. I then attached a small strip of embossed paper. For the embossing I used the Cuttlebug Bloom Dots embossing folder. The stamped sentiment is from Amuse and all the solid paper, ink and ribbon are from Papertrey Ink in the color of Enchanted Evening.

Ippity Monday - New Season, New Wonder

Good morning! I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. The weather here on the east coast has been really crazy to say the least. One day it is hot and humid with thunder storms and the next day the temperature drops and it is raw and rainy. But on the bright side, the cool weather is perfect for crafting.

The card I have to share with you today uses one of the newest Ippity sets, New Season, New Wonder.

When I first saw this stamp set and in particular the pear, I thought it would make a wonderful thank you card. So when I needed a thank you note to send along with an order I decided to use the pear stamp from this set. To start the card I used brown card stock from Memory Box and the Ippity gingham stamp with haystack Palette ink. Then I stamped and embossed the pear with clear embossing powder and coca ink from Color Box. The pear was then colored with shimmer paints in the colors of green, pink and a golden yellow. It's hard to tell from the photo but the shimmer paint has a pretty shine to it. I then used a scalloped circle punch for a border and some brown gingham ribbon. I elected not to add a sentiment, since the pear stamp has thank you impressed on it.

Best Wishes - Mojo Monday and The Shabby Tea Room

Welcome! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for challenges at The Shabby Tea Room and Mojo Monday.

It's technique week at The Shabby Tea Room and the challenge was to create a project using either wet or dry embossing. The challenge at Mojo Monday was to create a card based on this sketch.

I love the effect of embossing on pattern paper which reminds me of trapunto quilting. Using a variety of Basis Grey paper I embossed each strip of paper with a different embossing folder. I then made a double rosette and matted it against two doilies. For the center of the rosette I used a Lockheart tulip stamp which was stamped and colored then a portion of the image was cut out to create the center of the rosette. I used the ticket stamp from the Unity stamp set Be Mine and the sentiment is from Papertrey Inc. A little ribbon and some houndstooth paper from Making Memories finished off the card.

New Ippity Release - The Man and New Season New Wonder

Good morning and welcome to day 3 of the Ippity new release celebration. I have two more new stamp sets to share with you today. The first set I have to share with you is the mini set The Man. This set contains six stamps and is only $6.00.

I started the card using card sketch #143 from Clean & Simple. All the men in my life love bright colors so I used this bright color plaid paper from the girls' paperie. I stamped the image multiple times in red and blue then paper pieced the shirt. I love this little set and for the price I think it's a real steal!

My next card uses this beautiful stamp set New Season, New Wonder.

I think this set is amazing because it is so unique yet simple. For this card I stamped the fruit image which I originally thought was a watermelon, but upon closer look it's an orange slice. But I had watermelon in mind so I stamped and embossed the image with clear embossing powder then colored in the white space with pink and green distressed inks. I then accented my watermelon with a scalloped half circle. A few small flowers, ribbon, a small tag and this beautiful paper from the girls' paperie completed the card.

New Ippity Release - My True Joy

Good morning and welcome to day two of the new release celebration of Ippity Stamps. The stamp set I am showcasing today is My True Joy and here is the card I created using this set.

To start the card I used Memory Box card stock and cut out a window in the middle of the card using a rectangular Spellbinder die. Then I applied foam dots to the back of the window and attached the sentiment. I love the flower in this set and immediately thought it would be perfect to use with water color paint. Using Palette ink I stamped the flower onto watercolor paper. I then pulled out my shimmer paints and painted the flower in shades of blue,green and pink. Flourishes were stamped on the corner of the card and the flower was attached atop this Lace Circle die cut from Memory Box. (On a side note, blogger is not working very well and I was unable to leave comments on quite a few blogs yesterday. Please know that I visited all of your blogs yesterday and your projects were wonderful!)

Good morning! Today is an exciting day at Ippity. Ippity stamps have undergone some exciting changes recently and today is the day we are able to announce those changes. This stamp set consists of ten individual stamps including three sentiments. I love all the flowers in this set, especially the word flower. To make this card I started with bright green card stock from Memory Box. I then used K & Co. Sweet Nectar pattern paper. I stamped the word flower onto coordinating pink paper and added some flower soft to the center of the flower. I like how the variety of flowers in this set can be used to make a simple yet cheery card.

Happy Friday everyone! The card I have to share with you today uses one of the stamps from the {ippity} scrapbook kit, Love in Return.

To start the card, I used sketch #140 from Clean and Simple. I love this dress form die from Sizzix and though it would work well with this stamp, " Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but instead it is by the moments that take our breath away". For supplies I used Bazzill card stock for the card base, Lily Bee Design pattern paper and some ruler ribbon. A touch of lace, some buttons and a flower finished off the card.

Exciting Ippity News

Exciting changes are coming to {ippity} stamps. In anticipation of all the changes, I have spent most of this week tweaking my sales blog. In addition to making it neater, I have also added pages that list the stamps both alphabetically and by theme. I am please to announce that only 50 {ippity} chicks worldwide have been endorsed by the Unity Stamp Co. to sell this wonderful line of stamps and I am one of the 50... YEAH! In addition, Unity has imposed strict price guidelines and with you the customer in mind, I have elected to continue to discount the stamps off the MSRP. I am also pleased to announce that {ippity} will now have monthly releases....YES! Here is a little sneak peek of the next release scheduled for June 5th.

This release will consist of 3 new stamp sets and 1 single stamp. Don't forget to mark June 5th on your calendar, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I started with pale blue card stock from Memory Box and used this colorful paper from K & Company called Sweet Nectar. The sentiment stamp was stamped with yellow ink then embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a little shine. I then added three rows of scallops, an embossed center strip and a dimensional sticker from Anna Griffin. I was really pleased with how the card turned out, I just hope my Mother likes it! I love the little dot background stamp from {ippity}, Dots For Sure, so I began the card by stamping it three colors, coral, yellow and pink. I picked out a background paper that coordinated with the photo and used ink colors that coordinated with the paper. Then I used the Spellbinders pennant dies to cut out the banner. Some little roses and ribbon completed the banner. The sentiment used on the card is from Party Hat Wishes.

I have been a fan of Mary Engelbreit for a long time and the flowers in this stamp set remind me of her whimsical style. So I created this card with her style in mind. I randomly stamped the flowers in Palette Ink and colored them with Hero Art markers that coordinate with the paper. The sentiment was stamped on a Spellbinders tag. Today I have a card to share with you that combines this week's sketch from Clean and Simple and challenge #77 from The Play Date Cafe using the colors of green, brown and white.

When I first saw this color combo I have to say I thought it was a little boring. But once I pulled out my papers I realized what a wonderful combination it really was. I started the card with a
base of kraft card stock that I embossed.
The brown and white papers from Making Memories were cut out with a Tim Holtz edge die. I made a rosette and used my Spellbinders butterflies dies for the double layered butterfly. For the center strip I used a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from an Ippity stamp set How You Doin'. A few pearls and a white flower completed the card. That about sums it up! Ippity Stamps Blog Hop and The Play Date Cafe

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I think springs warm weather has finally arrived and I can't wait for my plants to start blooming. I have a quick card to share with you today based on this flower tutorial I ran across the other day. I thought I'd use the colors from The Play Date Cafe to create this card.

I used my favorite Isabelle papers from Anna Griffin for this card and a sentiment from How You Doin'. Isn't this a cool flower? I just love the unusual look. To add some texture I embossed the strips of paper in the center of the card and used the Spellbinders Grommet Tags to stamp the sentiment on. A small rose, a doily and some rhinestones finished off the card.

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! Once again I have two cards to share with you. One card is clean and simple and the other is a card based on a sketch from Card Patterns. On my first project I originally made this vellum flower to use on another card. However, once the card was completed, it just didn't look quite right. When I saw this weeks sketch from Card Patterns, I thought the flower would work much better with this sketch. So I took my first card apart and this is the card I created.

I think this card turned out much better than my first one! To make the flower, I used the Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz. I cut out each layer of the flower three times from vellum. I then stamped each cut with white Palette ink using the Thoughts From the Past background stamp by Ippity. I love how just a little bit of text appears on each layer. I then layered all the parts of the flower and attached them with a brad. Each layer was folded upward to give the flower some dimension. The leaves were also stamped on vellum using the leaf stamp from Now and Always. The sentiment came from another Ippity stamp set, Totally Happy. I used Making Memories paper, a Martha Stewart border punch and a few plum colored rhinestones to finish the card.

My next card is really simple. I think the eye chart stamp from Party Hat Wishes is brilliant, but I'm never quite sure how to use it. Most of the time I get overly creative with it and sometimes it just doesn't work. So I decided to make a really simple card with this stamp and here is the end result.

This stamp is so unique I think it can really stand on its own. I used Memory Box card stock for the card base, stamped the image with Burnt Umber Palette ink, then matted it with chocolate paper and added this chocolate and white ribbon.

Many Many Thanks - Clean & Simple

Hello! Today I have a card to share with you that I made based on this weeks sketch from Clean and Simple. I really liked this sketch and thought it would be fun to give it a try.
The challenge was to use 3D embellishments along with the below sketch. Here is the card I created:

I have had these layered flowers for a long time and have been waiting for the opportunity to use them. I coupled the flowers with a pansy punch from Martha Stewart and this bright orange paper from K&Co. To add a little texture to the card I embossed the center strip with a houndstooth design. A few coordinating rhinestones and a simple sentiment from Music of My Heart by Ippity completed the card.

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are now ready for some {ippity} inspiration from today's hop! I have two cards to share with you today, one masculine and one feminine. The first card I made uses vellum and the Now and Always and Where You Should Be {ippity} stamps sets.

I love the effects of stamping on vellum and for this card I stamped the flowers and leaves on vellum using white ink then heat embossed with white embossing powder. To add some color, I colored the back of the flower and leaves with Prismacolor pencils which gave the stamped images a soft glow of color. The card base was embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. To accent the embossed leaves, I stamped over the leaves with the background stamp, Thoughts From the Past.

For the next card I used the Authentic Man stamp set.

Using the Recess papers from Basic Grey, I stamped the stars and car then lightly highlighted parts of the car. The sentiment is not from {ippity} but from Inkadinkado. I just felt the larger font on this stamp worked better with the card.

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop - Spring

Good morning! Spring has finally arrived and to celebrate, I created this card.

I began this card with this weeks sketch from Clean & Simple. The gingham background was stamped with the {ippity} gingham stamp. For the stalk of the flower I used the X border stamp from Quotes a'La Happy, and the sentiment came from How You Doin'. The crepe paper flowers were fun and easy to make. Using a circle punch I punched out ten circles, aligned the circles in a stack and pierced a hole through the center. I then attached a small brad through the center and scrunched each layer individually. I liked how layering different colored crepe paper gave each flower its own individual look. A small leaf punch from Martha Stewart was used to punch out the crepe paper leaves. Some raffia and Memory Box paper completed the card.

Ippity Blog Hop - Quotes a'la HAPPY

Welcome! Today I have two cards to share with you that I made with the Ippity stamp set Quotes a'la HAPPY. This is such a fun set with so many cute images and sentiments. The first card I made uses the sun image and related sentiment.

I used Hero Hue markers to color the sun and then I cut it out using the Spellbinder's pinking circle dies. The papers are also from Hero Arts which coordinate with the markers. The ribbon was attached with double sided tape. I then added a few rhinestones to finish off the card.

My next card uses what I call the love jar from this set.

This is actually a mini card using the Ippity challenge colors for March of pink, green, yellow and blue. Aren't these pretty springtime colors? I just love this color combination! Again, I colored in the hearts with Hero Hue markers and used dotted paper from Papertrey Inc. I distressed the edges of the papers and applied white ink around the edges. A few buttons, twine and a doily completed the card.

Isn't this a great sketch? It's so simple, yet it has so many possibilities. I can see using this sketch quite a bit! The papers I used are from My Mind's Eye and the sentiment is from an Ippity stamp set, Bitty Pixie Paisley. The sentiment was cut out using a Labels Sixteen die from Spellbinders. I then added some aqua ribbon and this pretty pale yellow ribbon flower from Maya Road.

Card Patterns and Ippity Color Challenge

Today I have a card to share with you that I make with this week's sketch from Card Patterns. I used this month's colors of pink, blue, green and yellow from the Ippity Color Challenge and combined it with the sketch to create this card.

I like birthday cards that are bright and cheery and have a little bit of sparkle. What could be brighter than the DeLovely papers from Cosmo Cricket? Not only are the papers bright, but they also contain the challenge colors. The party hat and the eye chart sentiment came from Party Hat Wishes by Ippity. Some punches from EK Success and Martha Stewart, a few rhinestones, a crepe paper pom pom and a few balloons I cut with my Cricut machine finished off the card.

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop, Play Date Cafe and Get Sketchy

Good morning everyone! Today I have a couple of challenge cards to share with you. The first card was made for this weeks challenge at the Play Date Cafe which was to use black and white with a splash of color. I combined this challenge with the sketch from Get Sketchy and here is the card I created.

I rarely use yellow on a card so I thought I'd used it as my color splash. The flowers are are from Now and Always and the number scallop stamp and sentiment are from Party Hat Wishes. Here is the sketch I used for this card.

I have always loved this silhouette stamp of the potted flowers from So This is Love and thought it would be perfect to use with the the kissing technique. I used the Book It stamp with green ink, the potted flower stamp with pink ink and kissed the two stamps together. I really liked the end result with just the right amount of green coming through. I tried other color combinations but this was my favorite. The sentiment is from Just Wanted to Say and the paper is from Basic Grey.

Ippity Hop - Happy Spring

Good morning! As I am sitting here typing up my blog post for today it is snowing again. Since early January, it has snowed at least once a week, sometimes two to three times a week. I am so ready for winter to be over and for spring to arrive. So for today's hop I decided to make a springtime card.

The cute bunny and sentiment are from Sweet Thoughts of Spring. The bunny reminds me of a plush bunny so I paper pieced the body, stamping the image once on green pattern paper and then on pink pattern paper. I then added a few flowers, some ribbon and lace. All the pattern paper is from Memory Box.

Ippity Hop, PDCC and Case Study

Good Morning ! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the double challenge at The Play Date Cafe and Case Study. The inspiration was a card from Eva Dobilas using the colors of red, black and green for the PDCC and then to create a card based on Eva's creation for Case Study. Here is the card I created,

Eva always make such beautiful cards so it was a delight to try to make a card based on her creation. I used the following stamp sets on this card: How You Doin', Now & Always and Love in Return. I made the red felt flower from a Sizzix die and punched the butterfly from a lace doily. Some paper from October Afternoon and a stained doily finished off the card.

Ippity Hop Monday - Hello

Good morning and happy Valentine's Day. Since it's Valentine's Day, I thought it was only appropriate to make a love card for today's hop. I remembered this sweet bird cage stamp from Because of You and decided that was the image I wanted to use for today's card. I also used the February colors for this months {ippity} challenge of black, white, aqua and red.

To begin the card I used the Book It stamp ( I love this stamp) and stamped it three times, twice in aqua and once in red, then layered the stamped images. I used a tab punch and tied the papers together with red and white twine. The bird cage was colored with markers and I added a button and rhinestones to finish off the card.

Clean and Simple and Ippity Color Challenge

Good morning everyone! I have another Valentine card to share with you. Today I combined this weeks sketch from Clean and Simple and combined it with the red, black. white and aqua color challenge from Ippity and here is the card I created.

Sketch: Color Combo:

I loved the sketch and color combo and thought it would make a great card. Of course now that I look at the card it seems my aqua is more blue, but it looked aqua when I was working on it late yesterday afternoon! Oh well...too late now!
I started with a black card base and added black and white polka dot paper. Then I embossed a piece of black paper with a heart design and stamped over it with a white text stamp. All the black made the card too dark so I added a doily on top of the embossed paper. This pretty heart image came from Music of my Heart by {ippity}. I used the Bit of Burlap stamp to add a pale blue background to the stamped image. I then cut it out using Spellbinders dies and added another red doily and some red gingham ribbon. The sentiment came from another {ippity} set, How you Doin'.

Ippity Hop Monday - Love Birds

Good morning and welcome to another {ippity} hop. Being so close to Valentine's Day I decided to make a little valentine card using the February card sketch from Ippity. Here is the card I made based on the sketch.

To create this card, I used the Ippity sets pictured below as well as a cloud background stamp from Hero Arts that was stamped with blue chalk ink, and a heart cluster stamp from Memory Box. I turned the branch around so the birds would fit better. Copic and Prismacolor markers were used to color the images. To give the card a whimsical feel, I stamped hearts in the clouds. Then I finished off the card with brown gingham ribbon. For all the details on this month's challenge and to play along for a chance to win the grand monthly prize click here.

I used the following stamps from each stamp set. The sweet little birds and branch are from Fall for You. The sentiment came from How YOU Doin' and the frame came from Cherish Your Dreams. I like how all the stamp sets work so well together.

Love You

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for this week's challenges at the Shabby Tea Room and Card Patterns. The challenge this week at the Shabby Tea Room was to create a card using only stamping, no pattern paper and only handmade embellishments. I combined this challenge with the card sketch from Card Patterns and here is the card I created.

Here is the card sketch that I used for this card.

I usually don't use so many layers on a card so this was a fun sketch for me to work with. I began this card card by stamping and embossing an Art Noveau background from CHF onto pale blue card stock from Memory Box. I then inked over the embossed image with tea dye distress ink from Rangers. The same color ink was used to stamp all the images on the card. I then used a combination of stamps from Anna Griffin, Unity, and Papertrey Inc. for all the stamped images. A Tim Holtz embossing folder was used for the embossed background and some ribbon, lace and rhinestones finished off the card.

Ippity Hop Monday - Mini Cards

Good morning everyone! Today I have two mini cards to share with you. Both cards came about because of a Sizzix die I purchased a while ago. I bought this die online without seeing it in person and when it arrived it was much larger that I thought it was. Since the die cut was really too big to use on a card, I thought it would make a cute mini card. Here is the first card I made.

For this card I used the Sing a New Song stamp set from {ippity} pictured here:

I loved the little bird in this set as soon as I saw it, and I knew that no matter how it was used, it would make for a cute project. As far as the design of this card, I have to tell you a little secret. I stamped the sentiment upside down by mistake and it ended up on the left side of the card instead of on the right. I really liked the background paper I used and since I didn't have enough paper left to cut out another die cut I thought of the Tim Gunn ( of Project Runway) quote "Make it work." So that's what I did. I actually kind of liked how it turned out. Using the same Sizzix die for the card base, here is the second card I made.

For this card I used the House a Home stamp set from {ippity} pictured here:

Aren't these little houses cute? I like the combinations of patterns that make up each house. I use Palette ink and Rangers ink to stamp the houses and sentiment with. The papers I used on both cards are from the chelsea's place collection by Making Memories.

Play Date Cafe and Card Patterns

Happy Friday! If you live in the northeast, I hope you have been enjoying this snowy month of January! However, I think we've had enough snow for a while. We now have a wall of snow on both sides of the sidewalk that lead up to the front steps. I kind of like walking between the walls, I just hope the walls don't get any higher! Today I made one card for two challenges. I used the card sketch from Card Patterns and the color palette from the Play Date Cafe to create this card.

The challenge this week at the Play Date Cafe was to create a project using to a splash of lilac/purple with black and white,

and here is this weeks sketch from Card Patterns.

I used three stamp sets to create this card. First I used Vintage Text from CHF ( too bad they went out of business) and Ornamental Beauty also from CHF for the sentiment. I then used the Classic Fabric Design stamp from Hero Arts. I like the look of text under a design, so I stamped the Vintage Text once in black and then in lavender. I stamped over the lavender text with the fabric design stamp with black Palette ink. To separate the the fabric design from the black text, I added a thin strip of black paper. I then punched out the ornate border from the same lavender text. To create the layered sentiment I began with a black lace circle cut from Spellbinder's eyelet lace die. I layered a small doily on top of that, then added the sentiment. Using lavender tulle I cut out two circles to layer underneath the Prima flower.

Ippity Hop Monday - Challenge Cards

Today I have a couple of {ippity} challenge cards to share with you. If you are new to {ippity}, here is the chart of the January challenges. First off is the card I made for the red, white and blue challenge.

The sweet framed flower stamp is from the Cherish Your Dreams stamp kit. This set is probably my favorite {ippity} stamp set because of all the beautiful images in this set. The sentiment I used is from the How You Doin' stamp set. Hero Arts supplies were used for the blue papers and coordinating ink and markers. All the red paper is from October Afternoon. A few pearls, a button and ribbon finished off the card.

My next card was made for the photo challenge.

I used a variety of pattern papers similar to the designs in the photo to create this card. The black and white papers are from My Mind's Eye and the red toile paper is from Making Memories. This heart and sentiment stamp is from one of the original {ippity} stamp sets, Because of You. Some gingham ribbon, a border punch and some heart pins completed the card.

Ippity Hop Monday

Good morning {ippity} friends! It took me all week, but I finally put all my Christmas decorations away. I didn't think I put out that many decorations this year, but apparently, I decorated more than I thought! So now I can concentrate on card making once again. For today's card, I used a sketch from Page Maps to create this card.

The paper I used on this card is from the October Afternoon collection, Modern Homemaker. Don't you just love these papers? I do! The sentiment on the card is from The Simple Things stamp set shown here,

and the flowers are from one of my favorite sets YOU deserve shown here.

I added pop dots to the back of the flowers to give them the 3D effect and I used an Anna Griffin punch for the leaves. A few black pearls to the center of each flower finished off the card.

I started with a card base of pale yellow paper from Memory Box. I then used paper from the Queen Bee collection by Pink Paislee, which is one of my all time favorite paper collections. The sweet sentiment came from the Delightful Little Things stamp set. Some paper punches, a few markers and ribbon finished off the card.

You have all month to complete the challenges which consist of a card sketch, a color challenge, a photo inspiration and a final twist. The prize package consists of paper and stamps from {ippity}. Ippity Hop Monday- How YOU Doin'

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone! I had an achy back for a while, so I decided to just enjoy the holidays and take a break from crafting. Now the holidays are over and my back is better so I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. I made a Valentines card today using the How YOU Doin' stamp set. Here is the card I made,

and here is the stamp set I used.

I really like this set because it contains so many cute images and sentiments. The envelope image was stamped multiple times in Burt Umber Palette ink and then I colored in the hearts with Hero Hues markers. My husband gave me a Vagabond machine for Christmas which I used to cut out the Sizzlet die. This machine is so easy to use, and the best part is I don't have to put pressure on my back anymore when I cut out the dies. I just love this machine! K & Co. paper, a Martha Stewart border punch and some rhinestones and ribbon completed the card.

Ippity Blossoms Project # 2

Today I wanted to give you a some details on the Ippity Blossom's projects I created for today. For both the card and coordinating ornament I used the Season of Joy stamp set.

I used K&Co. paper for all of today's projects. It might be a little hard to see, but instead of machine stitching around the center square of the card I used a square template to pierce holes around the paper then connected the holes with a black glaze pen to give the effect of stitching. This is great way to add the look of stitching without breaking out your sewing machine. My only regret is that I wish the faux stitching would have been a little bit darker. The loopy border in the middle of the card is a large Martha Stewart punch. The little rhinestones in the middle of the snowflake are from Michale's dollar bin and the leaf pins are from Maya Road. My next project was the ornament.

I really like this ornament because it is so sturdy. I found this project in the December issue of Better Homes and Gardens.
In the magazine, it was used as a package topper, but I think it works much better as an ornament if only because, after all the time it takes to make, I would hate to have someone throw it away! Here are the instructions:
         1.   Start with a piece of 4"x12" double sided paper.
         2. Mark the paper in 1/2 inch increments and cut
               each strip with a paper cutter.
         3. Loop each strip in half and attach the ends with a
               glue dot.
         4.   Attach each loop to the next loop with another
               glue dot. Just keep attaching one loop to another
               with a glue dot until your circle is complete.
         5. For the center of the ornament, I stamped the
               snowflake with red ink and heat embossed it with
               red metallic embossing powder. For even more
               sparkle I added red and green rhinestones.
         6. The stamped snowflake was then matted onto red
              glitter paper with double sided tape.

The next card I made is fairly straight forward.

I used the Cherish Your Dreams stamp set on this card. First I stamped the floral border twice, which I think is so pretty. Then I lightly colored the flowers with pink and blue copic markers. After stamping the sentiment, I lightly colored the butterfly with the same markers and matted it on brown polka dot paper with distressed edges. Pink, blue and brown twine and a blue button finished off the card.

Ippity Blossom Project

Good morning! This is such a busy time of the year. I haven't had time to do much of any crafting lately, but I wanted to share with you a few tips on on the projects I made for Ippity Blossoms. I love the birthday set Party Hat Wishes. My favorite stamp in this set is the happy birthday eye chart. I made a 4x4 mini card using this stamp.

The frame that surrounds the sentiment was made from the Inverted Scalloped Square die from Spellbinders. I thought the party hat needed a pompom so I made one using a strip of crepe paper and fringe scissors. The little stars were also cut from Spellbinder's dies. My next project used plain white memo cubes that I stamped on to make party favors.

I don't remember where I first saw this idea, but I thought the little background stamps from {ippity} would work well with this project. I used Dots For Sure and Book It as well as Rangers Distress ink to stamp on the cubes. I found the trick to stamping on paper cubes is to wrap an elastic around the cube before you stamp so the cube stays together when you press down with the stamp. To avoid an imprint from the elastics, I wrapped a band of paper around the cube first, then wrapped the elastic around the paper. I thought the stamps made a really good impression. Each side of the cube was stamped in a different color ink, then ribbon and a coordinating tag were added. I really like these cubes and I was so pleased with how they turned out. The memo cubes are so easy to personalize for special occasions. Both my sons are graduating in the spring and I thought the cubes stamped in their school colors would make nice little mementos for their graduation parties.

I love the new Cosmo Cricket paper Circa 1932. Yesterday I used it to make a mini card in my post below, and today I used the paper again to make a simple little card using the How You Doin stamp set.

I really like how all the papers in this collection coordinate so nicely together. After I stamped the flowers and cut them out, I used a pop dot to separate the layers and to give the flowers some dimension. I then added some red stickles and a black pearl to the center of each flower. A red ribbon and a vintage button finished off the card.

Ippity Mini Card

This week's {ippity} challenge was to make a mini card.
Using a 4 by 4 card base, here is the card I created.

I was originally going to use red and white Christmas paper for this card, but then I glanced at my Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 paper pad sitting on my desk and I said to myself," forget the Christmas paper, this is better". So that's what I did. I really like this paper and it works well for a Christmas card. To begin the card I stamped the background for the sentiment in a pale yellow using the Bit of Burlap stamp. The sentiment that was stamped with Palette ink in black noir came from the Season of Joy stamp set and the tree came from the Kissmas and Mistletoe stamp set. I used the square scalloped nestabilities die for the frame and a circle nestability to cut out the middle of the frame. I used pop dots to lift the frame off the paper. The tree was stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder. A little rhinestone and ribbon finished off the tree.

Ippity New Release Fall 2010... WOW

Good morning! Welcome to new release day. Isn't this a wonderful release? I can't decide which set I like the best...I truly like them all! I made two cards to share with you today. The first card I made uses Party Hat Wishes. Here is the stamp set

and here is the card I made.

This is such a fun set! I love the banner and the eye chart which I think is brilliant! I used Making Memories paper and some blue rhinestones to add a little sparkle to the card.

The second card I made uses How You Doin' and the Gurnsey Gingham background stamp. Here are the stamp sets I used

and here is the card I created.

For this card I used K & Co. paper. I thought the cute little stamps in this set were perfect for smaller cards so I cut the card base out of Nestabilites dies. It's hard to tell from the photo but I layered the flower and added some cotton candy stickles to the center of the flower along with a green pearl.

Ippity Stamps Blog Hop - Seasons of Joy

Good morning! It's {ippity} hop Monday and also new release week! I think you'll really love the new sets that are coming out, so check back on Thursday for another {ippity} hop showcasing them. The card I have to share with you today uses the Season of Joy stamp set. Here is the set,

and here is the card I created.

I made this card for a card swap at work. I needed to create seven cards that were exactly the same. Once I decided on my design, it was a fairly easy card to mass produce. First I stamped the sentiment with Palette ink by Unity in Moulin Rogue and then cut it out using a nestability die. Next, I cut out the holly and ric rac using Cricut cartridges. All I had left was to put all the elements together. I used Basic Grey paper for both the background and holly. I finished off the card by rounding off the edges and adding a small rhinestone to the holly berries.

Ippity Hop - Bitty Pixie Paisley

It's Monday, which means it's time for another {ippity} hop! The card I am sharing with you today uses the Bitty Pixie Paisley stamp set. Here is the stamp set,

I like this little stamp set. It's perfect for making a quick thank you card. I stamped the floral image three times with black noir Palette ink from Unity to create a pretty floral pattern. Little buttons were added to the center of the flowers and polka dot paper was used to mat the stamped image.

Unity FWF

Good morning! The card I have to share with you today uses two of Unity's Cosmo Cricket sets, Togetherness Icons and Garden Variety. I also snuck in an {ippity} stamp - Book It. The colors and idea for this card came from this week's inspiration photo for this weeks challenge at the Shabby Tea Room.

Using the colors and designs in this photo, here is the card I created.

For the background of the stamped images I used the Book It stamp from {ippity}. The birds from the Cosmo Cricket set, Togetherness Icons, were stamped and then embossed with clear embossing powder. The Large Labels dies from Spellbinders were used to cut out the images. Lastly, the flowers and sentiment came from the other Cosmo Cricket set, Garden Variety. To finish off the card, I used the Togetherness paper from Cosmo Cricket, the Apron Lace border punch from Fiskars, some gingham ribbon and a red button with blue twine.

When I saw this sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping, I immediately thought of the dogwood stamp from {ippity}. I thought it would work well with this sketch. So here is the sketch,

and here is the card I created.

After I stamped the flowers, I colored them with pink and yellow copic markers. I added a sentiment and finished off the card with the modern garland border punch from Martha Stewart.

Good morning everyone! Did you have a good Halloween? Ours was very quiet. We had very few trick or treaters! Of course my children are older, as well most of the other children on our street so their trick or treat days are behind them. For today's hop I have a window card to share with you. This flower pot stamp from the So this is Love stamp set is one of my favorites. I thought it would look pretty stamped on vellum, so here is the card I came up with.

To start the card, I cut a window in the middle of the card.
I then stamped and embossed the flower pot onto white vellum. The stamped image was then centered and framed in the middle of the window and the pattern paper from Making Memories was added. To add a little color, I placed a piece of hot pink vellum behind the stamped image to give it a soft pink glow when the light shines through it. I then added a sentiment from the Just Wanted to Say stamp set. A scalloped edge, a little ribbon and a flower button finished off the card.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #52

Good morning and thanks for stopping by today. Today's card was made for this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge. The challenge this week was to create a card or project using any combination of the following colors orange, pink or yellow. The card I am sharing with you today uses pink and yellow.
There was no theme for the challenge other than the color selections, but since the Play Date Cafe is celebrating its one year anniversary, I thought it would be fun to make a celebration card. Here is the inspiration photo:

To begin the card I stamped and embossed yellow dots onto pink card stock. I thought a banner would be fun on a celebration card so I stamped and embossed two banners and cut them out. I overlapped the banners and anchored them with yellow pearls. I then cut out a cupcake, added some glitter and topped off the candle with a small flower.

Ippity Hop Monday - That's Creepy

With Halloween coming up next weekend, I thought I'd make one last Halloween card using Ippity's only Halloween set, That's Creepy.

I think the spiders are more cute than creepy, but I like all the images in this set. My favorite however is the ornate pumpkin which can be used for not only Halloween but fall themed cards as well.

Purple, yellow and black were the colors I chose for this card along with papers from the Matilda collection by Cosmo Cricket. For ink, I used the Palette Hybrid inks sold by Unity in the colors of French Lilac, Black Noir, Raw Sienna and Haystack. I liked these inks so much, I decided to sell them in my {ippity} shop along with the stamps. For the background of the stamped images I used my favorite background stamp A Bit of Burlap. Did you notice the bow? I thought it kind of emulated the spiders, you know 6 legs on the spider and 6 loops on the bow with the button in the middle. My new large circle punch from EK Success finished off the card.

FWF- Pink Card

Good morning everyone! The card I am sharing with you today was made for this weeks {ippity} challenge. The challenge was to make a project using pink. Here is the card I created.

There are two {ippity} Christmas stamp sets and I used both sets on this card. The Peace sentiment came from the stamp set Kissmas and Mistletoe and the snowflakes came from the Seasons of Joy stamp set. For the background behind the sentiment I used the Thoughts From the Past stamp. I like a little sparkle on holiday cards so I used holographic embossing powder on the stamped images. Some hot pink ribbon and a few blue rhinestones finished off the card.
